Having represented Maharashtra at U16, U17, U19 and U22 levels, the standard of cricket set by Rohit Jadhav is very high. He eventually graduated to the Ranji team as well as the West Zone team for the Duleep Trophy. Jadhav is known for his ability to bowl in the right areas for long periods, and just judging him by the number of wickets he picks up would be unfair. Jadhav, who is a lower order batsman and an off break bowler was bought by the Emperors for a modest Rs.25,000. Despite that record, Jadhav is yet to cement his place in the Emperors starting XI, especially after having had a disappointing MPL 2009 campaign. He played 2 games, scoring 16 runs and picking up only 1 wicket, with an economy rate close to 10. MPL-II was a slight improvement, where he got to play 5 games, got 3 wickets with the economy rate under 8, which is very acceptable in T20.
