Charan is a talented right-hand middle-order batsman and also bowls right-arm medium pace. After not getting any opportunity to play in the MPL-I, Charan finally made his debut, against Raigad Royals, scoring 27 not out off 26 balls. He has bowled just two overs in the MPL so far, without picking up any wicket. After being a probable in the State Under-15 and Under-17 squad, Charan played for the Maharashtra Under-19 team, and was also selected in the State senior one-day team, which is the highlight of his career so far.
