The Torna skipper is arguably one of the best left-arm spinner in the State. Adhav, who cost Torna Rs 1,00,000, was easily their player of the tournament in 2009, taking 17 wickets, and scoring 13 runs at an good average of 41.00 and a strike-rate of 129. His 17 wickets included two four-wicket hauls. One of the most experienced player in the MPL, having played a lot of matches for the State Ranji team, Adhav had a comparatively average second season, as did his team. He scored 6 runs from seven games, and got eight wickets from as many games, with an impressive economy rate of 6.35 runs per over.
