A talented all-rounder, Bagul was picked up in the Rest of India U-16 squad and also led the India University team. He was bought for Rs 70,000 by the Panhala Panthers for MPL-I, and had a terrific season in 2009. Bagul became the second highest scorer for Panthers, scoring 194 runs with an average of 32, and a strike-rate of 103. It included a 50-ball 61 against Devgiri Emperors. He picked up five wickets with his medium pace, with a decent economy rate of 7.67 runs per over in seven games. A former Mumbai U-14, U-16, U-19 and Ranji Trophy player, Bagul, 26, got to play just three games in the MPL-II, scoring 45 runs. His medium pace was not used at all in the MPL-II
