Niranjan Chavan is a useful T20 cricketer, someone who bowls medium pace as his main trade, and can bat a bit in the lower order. Having made his MPL debut in 2010, Chavan didn’t get any wickets in six games where he got to bowl, but was impressive with his accuracy, with a economy rate of 6.50 for the season. Chavan, who has played for the State U-22 and 25 teams, made some valuable contributions with the bat too, scoring 79 runs in seven innings, including three not outs to his name. His average of 26.33, and strike rate of 116.17 makes him an ideal lower-order batsman for a T20 side.
