He has been part of the Maharashtra set up right since his U-14 days, and for the past two seasons, has been a regular No 3 for the State Ranji team. Even in MPL-II, Atitkar, known to his team-mates as eSangaf, showed his class with his consistent batting. Atitkar scored 181 runs (Average: 25.71), which was one of the best averages of the MPL-II. He picked up eight wickets with a superb economy rate of under six, in Royals campaign all the way to the final.
