Easily the best fielder in the State. Waghmare, often seen fielding at point, can get into any T20 team that is part of the MPL purely based on his fielding skills. His spectacular catching and direct hits took earned him the best fielder of the tournament award in MPL-I. Having been part of the State team at the various age groups as well as the Ranji team, Waghmare didnft have a particularly great first MPL season with the bat and ball, scoring 67 runs, and claiming two wickets with his leg-spin. But he more than made up for it with his fielding. Waghmare, nicknamed Tiger for his fielding abilities, scored exactly the same number of runs in MPL-II as he did in MPL-I, without getting any wickets on three occasions that he got to bowl. But Waghmare was once again at his best with his fielding, claiming 14 wicketsf (eight catches, six run-outs) in MPL-II.
