Pratapgad Warriors are owned by Guardian Holidays Pvt. Ltd. The Pune-based company, which has offices in Mumbai and Singapore apart from its Pune headquarters, is run by two people, Manish Sabde and Sandeep Joshi. Guardian Holidays has been in operation for 11 years and specializes in overseas educational tours for students. Both the owners have a healthy interest in the game. Warriors are coached by Maharashtra legend Shantanu Sugwekar and are confident of doing well in the competition this year. The runners up of the first edition of MPL, the Warriors had a dull season in 2010 and would be looking forward to get back to the winning ways in the MPL-III. The overall team comprises three batsmen including last year’s Best Bastman Swapnil Gugale, three wicket-keeper batsman with Satyajit Satbhai spearheading this department, eight all-rounders including the newly appointed skipper Parag More and five bowlers including the likes of left arm medium pacer Samad Fallah. The Warriors have spent an astonishing Rs. 3.95 lakhs on their signings this time round, strengthening the balance bringing in all-rounder Pushkaraj Chavan, bowlers like Sanjay Pardeshi and Mithun Kirad. Warriors would be keen to go one better than their performance in their inaugural MPL campaign.
