Vinayak Renuse, a key figure in Panthers’ middle-order, was signed for Rs 69,000, and proved his worth straightway in MPL-I, scoring 160 runs, and taking three wickets with his part-time medium pace bowling. This former State U-19 player scored a half century in his first season, a 34-ball 69 against Sinhagad Supremos, which is the best amongst the current Panthers’ squad in terms of runs in an inning. MPL-II turned out to be a bit disappointing for Renuse, with just 98 runs off seven games.
