A quality all-rounder who was bought by Panthers from Shivneri Lions for Rs 2,60,000, Deepak Shilamkar is one of the starts of MPL. He scored 194 runs in MPL-I, including a brilliant 37-ball 55 against Sindhudurg Sailors. The 23-year old leg break bowler, proved his ability with the ball as well in MPL-II, claiming 14 wickets. It included a smart four-wicket haul (4-20) against Torna Tigers. Those are best bowling figures amongst current Panthers’ squad. His talent has seen him represent and captain Maharashtra at under-15, under-17, under-19 and at under-22 levels, eventually graduating to play for the State senior team in all three formats.
