Kishore Bhikane is one of the trump cards for Emperors. Having played for Maharashtra at U15, U17, U19, U22 levels & Ranji, expectations have often been high on this right arm medium fast bowler. Emperors shelled out an amount of Rs. 65,000 for the pacer. MPL 2009 wasn’t the most pleasing for Bhikane with the ball as the 22-year old only managed to pick up 4 wickets and gave away plenty of runs at an economy of 10.41. But his quality shined with the bat as he smacked a few lusty blows out of the park, scoring 95 runs batting lower down the order. He made amends in MPL 2010, finishing with 11 wickets including two 3-wicket hauls, one of which earned Emperors a famous win over defending champions Raigad Royals. He is Emperors’ leading wicket-taker with 15 scalps.
