Ketan Kasture is an all-rounder, a more of a utility cricketer who has big expectations on his shoulders. Having represented the Pune University twice, he made a handy contribution in his debut season of this league. Bought by Devgiri Emperors for minimal a fee of Rs. 12,000, Kasture did his bit for the Emperors by contributing valuable 79 runs in the seven games batting lower down. He had also picked up three wickets bowling his left arm spin. Second season was a similar performance, where he chipped in with the bat whenever he got a chance, and got three valuable wickets against defending champions Royals with his left-arm spin, which proved to be one of the decisive factors in that game. Kasture is kind of a cricketer, who can’t be judged just by stats, and it would be interesting to see how he fares in MPL-III.
