He walked away with the Best Batsman Award in the first edition scoring 371 runs at impressive rate of 61.83 & striking rate of almost 150. He was easily one of the best buys for the Emperors in the auction ahead of the MPL-II. He didn’t have a particularly good start to his debut season for Emperors. But Patil proved his class with two high-quality knocks in Emperors’ last two games of the MPL-II, a 49 against Sindhudurg Sailors, before signing off in style with a cracking 62 against Torna Tigers.
